Codimension is an experimental Python 3* IDE which focuses on smooth intergration of the traditional text base development process with a graphics involving one.
The flowchart diagrams are generated so fast that they are updated while you are typing your code. Codimension simply detects a pause in typing and updates the diagram. Later on you can analyze your own code (or somebody else's code) via looking at the diagram. You can also customize your diagrams:
and more features are coming.
You can export your diagrams in a few formats and use them in the documentation. Moreover, using the feature of replacing labels you can easily generate a diagram for any logic and then have a nice printout to discuss it with those who do not understand coding at all.
Codimension is an Open Source project so you can not only use it for free but join the project and implement the features you'd like to see or help some other way.
* Python 2 is not supported anymore however the old python 2 packages are still available
